Grant Featherston, designer of Australia's most counterfeited chair lives again

The Featherston chair, more properly known as the contour r160, was designed in Melbourne in 1951 by Grant Featherston, its elongated wing-back and scooped-shell seat the very incarnation of the atomic era.
it's the one Gordon Mather – who has made Featherston furniture under licence since 1989 with the blessing of grant's widow, Mary – knows customers are referring to when they call. it is also, sadly, this country's most counterfeited original.
